Am I on the Voter’s List?

If you are a resident, owner or tenant of property in the Township, a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age or older by election day, you can vote.  It is the responsibility of the elector to confirm their information is up-to-date and accurate.  Municipal elections use a different voter’s list than other elections.

Contact the Clerk Department to verify if you are already on the Voters’ List.  The Department can be reached at mail@ektwp.ca or 613-345-7480 x. 234.  Please include your name and qualifying address with any message.

How can I be added to the Voters’ List?

After September 1st, eligible electors need to contact the Main Municipal Office to receive a special form in order to be added to the list.  Proof of ID will be required.

How can I vote?

I have not received a Voters Letter / I lost my Voters Letter

Voters letters are expected to become available late September/early October via regular mail.
If you have not received your letter by October 14th, or lost your letter, a new one may be provided.  In the case of a new letter, the voting PIN from the initial letter becomes disabled.

What is my PIN / Security?

Your PIN is a unique series of numbers that appears on your Voters Letter which allow you to vote electronically (internet or telephone).
With your PIN, you will be asked to provide your date of birth to help verify your identity.  The day and month are two digits long, so if your birthday is in January 1st, you would enter 01 01.
