Letter to Bellamy Park Campers

To All Campers,

With the long weekend upon us (the unofficial start of summer), and the ongoing stresses in our daily lives, we recognize the temptation to “get away from it all” for a few days.  Even so, we must all remember that it is NOT business as usual for campgrounds.  The stay-at-home order is very clear: weekend stays and other short-term stays are NOT permitted.

Regardless of what you may have heard to the contrary, or what other campgrounds may or may not be tolerating, our policy always has been – and will continue to be – to respect the Provincial orders.

We are pleased that we were able to open Bellamy Park, on time, to the full extent permitted by the Provincial regulations.  We certainly want to avoid being put in a position where we risk violation of these guidelines and are left with no choice but to close the park.

So please act responsibly.  Review the Provincial guidelines https://www.ontario.ca/page/reopening-ontario [external link], and make sure you are complying with all of the requirements.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.

Mayor Brant Burrow
