Deputy Fire Chief /Fire Prevention & Training Coordinator

The Municipality of Elizabethtown-Kitley is conveniently located on the 401-corridor surrounding the City of Brockville and its northern boundary being a short distance to the Town of Smiths Falls, servicing a population of approximately 9,700.

The Elizabethtown-Kitley Fire and Emergency Services department operates from 3 fire stations with a volunteer force of approximately 60. The department is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Deputy Fire Chief /Fire Prevention & Training Coordinator.

Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief /Fire Prevention & Training Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the municipal fire and training programs in order to maintain maximum service potential of all volunteer firefighters and ensure public education. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective provision and support of all department fire prevention and training programs.
