Notice of Public Meeting – Council Vacancy:

Vacant Councillor Seat:

At the October 7, 2024 Committee of the Whole Meeting, Council declared one (1) Councillor seat vacant, and at the Regular Council Meeting,  Council determined to fill this vacancy by appointment through a Call for Applications.

The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley is now accepting applications for the position of Municipal Councillor.  All individuals applying to be appointed to the position of Municipal Councillor must submit their forms in person to the Clerk’s Department.

Applications will be accepted until November 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. [CLOSED]

Appointment Application Process

Any interested eligible individual looking to apply must complete and submit the following documents:

Applicants must provide the Clerk or designate with valid government issued ID along with the above noted documentation in person, during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday), at the Township’s Main Office, 6544 New Dublin Rd, from Tuesday October 22, 2024 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024.

 An appointment is suggested to ensure that the Clerk or designate is available for this purpose.

Important dates:

• Friday, November 15, 2024 (by 2:00 p.m.) – Application deadline
• November 18, 2024 – November 25, 2024 – Applications considered by Council
• December 9, 2024 – New Councillor Sworn into Office (effective Jan. 1, 2025)
