DEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLANNED FOR ROWS CORNERS FAIRGROUNDS
The Council of the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley invites you to attend a Public Meeting on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the Township Office, located at 6544 New Dublin Road.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this meeting is to offer Council and members of the public an opportunity to hear directly from the founders of Campus Habitations regarding their business model and proposed development vision, named ‘Campus Elizabethtown’ for the Rows Corners Fairgrounds property located at 3823 County Road 6.
BACKGROUND
During the Public Meeting held on Monday, January 29, 2024, concerning a proposed Community Infrastructure and Housing Accelerator (CIHA) request for this development, Council realized that there were questions raised for which answers were not available. It is our hope that a number of those questions can now be addressed.
At the regular meeting held on February 12, 2024, Council supported the submission of a Community Infrastructure and Housing Accelerator (CIHA) Order request to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to facilitate expedited zoning approvals required for this project. In addition, the Township continues confidential discussions with the City of Brockville regarding the provision of water and services to the site.
Further information on both the CIHA Order request and servicing options will be made available as soon as practical.
