NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING PROPOSED SEWAGE SYSTEM PROGRAM FEES
The Ontario Building Code Act, S.O. 1992, Section 7, authorizes a municipal council to pass by-laws respecting the issuance of permits and related matters. The Ontario Building Code Act requires that a public meeting be held as part of any Building Permit Fee implementation or adjustment process.
Effective January 1, 2024, the Township will be offering sewage system management program services through the Building Department, including the processing of applications, issuance of permits, inspections, responding to inquiries, complaints and issuing orders.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Elizabethtown- Kitley intends to consider a schedule of fees for this service under the Building Code Act. A PUBLIC MEETING will be held on January 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley for persons to make representation with respect to the proposed Sewage System Program Fees.
INFORMATION AVAILABLE: Additional information and material relating to the proposal is available for review during business hours, at the Township Office, 6544 New Dublin Road, Addison, Ontario. Questions may be directed to the Building Department, 613-345-7480 during normal business hours or email to building@ektwp.ca.
ORAL AND WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS: Persons and public bodies are invited to make oral submissions at the Public Meeting or to make a written submission to the Council or the Corporation of the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley before the proposed Sewage System Program Fee Schedule Public Meeting is held. Written submissions, relative to this matter will be received by the municipal Clerk until 4:00 p.m. January 15, 2024.
